Federal Workers' Compensation Training

This session is designed for employees newly assigned to manage a facility’s Workers’ Compensation Program or employees assigned as a facility Workers’ Compensation program manager who do not have a Human Resources background and do not know how the Human Resources programs affect workers’ compensation claims. This session provides the basic best practices, tools, and techniques for effective workers’ compensation case management.
Learning Objectives:
1. Identify the tools, resources, and knowledge that will enable the trainee to conduct and/or operate an effective Workers’ Compensation Program at the facility level.
2. Provide sufficient information in each field so the attendee will know when to seek the advice of an expert.
3. Develop basic working knowledge of all the programs that can affect a Workers’ Compensation claim.
